Sri Lanka Private driver, the best way to tour Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Private Driver provided us with a fantasitc experience for our first time in Sri Lanka. We were going to do an organised tour but found it too expensive and restrictive. Research led us to this company and organising the tour with Shiyan was easy, his emails gave me confidence in booking with them. Thankyou to Ananda, who was our driver for 16 days. He was friendly, easy to get along with, always on time and a very good driver. Ananda went above and beyond in his service to us. Sometimes he would buy us a snack or drink and knew where the best restaurants and cleanest toilets were. He was always on time and the car was kept clean. He took us to places I had in our itenerary, but also suggested things we did not know about, organised tickets, guides and a tuk tuk driver to get us around the steeper parts of Ella. Often he would accompany us to temples and monuments, take photos for us and tell us some history or answer our questions but he also knew when to give us our own space. We had a glorious time in Sri Lanka and most of that is due to our fantastic driver, and now friend, Ananda Pelpita.

Amazing experience with Mahesh as our driver We have had the most amazing experience of Sri Lanka led by our driver Mahesh. He has driven us from Colombo to Ella to Yala to Hiriketiya to Mirrisa to Unawatuna and finally returning to the airport. From the very start Mahesh has taught us a lot about Sri Lanka and its history, as well as showing us wildlife, amazing views and culturally significant landmarks. During the entirety of our trip Mahesh has arrived early to pick us up, patiently waited for us at various spots and always driven safely (despite rain and tricky roads to navigate!)Mahesh has also been great at making suggestions of places to visit and taking us to the lesser known spots. For example, when in Ella we wanted to see Ravana waterfall but he promised us he knew a better one - which we would have never known about. Another example is him taking us to a local spot to try curd, wood apple and treacle, which we loved! He also helped us to arrange our safari tour in Yala and other day trips. Mahesh is a kind, happy and joyous person to be around - always making us feel safe and taken care of. He really has gone above and beyond for us. Best decision in our trip to Sri Lanka: renting a Sri Lanka Private Driver. Best luck: getting Kapila as our driver. We considered different options when planning our trip to Sri Lanka: Tuktuk rental for the whole stay, public transport, car rental.... Nothing convinced us. Tuktuk are not so comfortable for long distances and your luggage is not locked, public transport maybe overcrowded and bumping and you have to carry your luggage all the time on you, and driving a rental car in Sri Lanka seemed quite challenging. Then we read about Sri Lanka private driver and they had so good reviews that we decided to try. We couldn't be happier with our decision. For a reasonable price, we have been traveling for more than two weeks in a very comfortable car with the best driver you could wish. About the car: every day clean, big, comfortable, with a filter that keeps polluted air outside, conditioning according to our wish, every day at our door at the planned time. Another advantage is that you can take the Ella- Kandy train, or make a hike and the car waits for you at the point you choose to end the track.About the driver: punctual, reliable, caring, keeping calm in any condition (and traffic in Sri Lanka is mostly stressful), adapting the driving to our medical condition (bumps had to be avoided because of back injury), safe driver. And he has become more than a driver: he has given us so many good advices on places to stop at, street food to taste, best roads, animals to see on our way... He knows a lot of things about plants, animals, culture and people in Sri Lanka and has explained a lot of stuff which has made us take MUCH more profit of every single day in Sri Lanka. He has also bargained prices for us so in the end we have paid less for presents we bought and places we stayed at. We had a medical issue at the begining of our stay and he helped us a lot to get the medical atention we needed and the proper treatment. At the same time, he knows how to respect our privacy and freedom which is also important.Our trip to Sri Lanka wouldn't have been the same without Kapila. We have been able to fully enjoy our trip without any worries about difficult traffic conditions, heavy rain, parking places, directions... And we have seen so much more of the real Sri Lanka with the tips he gave us. We can only recommend him and hope we have the chance to meet him again in the future.

6 days wonder We arranged a 6 days trip, starting from Colombo to Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Tissamaharama and ending in Bentota. Nice experience, 5 star not only for the service in arranging the transportation, but mostly for the driver himself, Prasad.He has been a joyful addition to our experience, sharing with us tips (such as which shops were more authentic), historic notions on Purannaruwa and the history of the Country and providing a really safe and quick drive (we slept more than once during some long trips). He is precise, timely, keen to conversation yet never imposing nor insisting. He was pivotal in arranging the changes to the tour along the way. He also keeps his car in pristine coditions. The best we could hope for. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka we'll definitively ask for him again, and I encourage you to do the same. Thank you again Prasad!

Driver was excellent We hired a private car for 3 of us, 2 adults and 1 teen. Shiyan was extremely helpful and responsive from the beginning.A couple of days before our trip I received a message from our driver Aruna with the photos of the car.He was there waiting for us at the airport and was with us through out our entire trip of 8 days. He finally dropped us off at the airport on the 9th day.Aruna was an excellent driver, very courteous, knowledgeable and cautious. He always kept the car extremely clean.We really enjoyed our entire experience with the company and their assigned driver. Will definitely book again and recommend to others.
