An excellent tour with a very safe driver! It was so easy to book the car and driver with Sri Lanka Private Driver. All I had to do was present them with my itinerary/list of hotels and they provided me with a competitive quote for the 13 days.We arrived at Colombo Airport to find our driver, Harindu, waiting for us with a sign and a smile.Throughout the trip Harindu was always prompt, polite, and very helpful sharing his local knowledge with us, providing suggestions for places to visit.The car was always kept clean and tidy and stocked with bottled drinking water.Harindu was an excellent driver and we always felt safe with him at the wheel.It was a real pleasure to share our journey with him, and we miss the big smile he greeted us with every morning!

Driver guide Just got back from an amazing 13 day tour of Sri Lanka with a driver guide. Our driver, Sachin, was brilliant. He is a very careful driver and we felt very safe in the car with him driving. He was very reliable and always punctual. He helped us organise, safaris, snorkelling and other activities. He also suggested things we could look and do and helped us book some accommodation. Sachin is a really lovely person and we had a great time.

Amazing trip to Sri Lanka, Mahesh best Guide/driver! We had an amazing 2 weeks tour in Sri Lanka. Our guide and driver Mahesh was good company, very knowledgeable and made everything so easy for us. He organized all our activities and excursions and he was always very happy to help. Local tuk tuks and buses drive crazily around the country but Mahesh was always very careful and made sure we felt comfortable. We traveled quite a lot by car and I always felt safe. I would definitely recommend this company and you should ask for Mahesh!

Two excellent weeks We were very pleased by Siddiq, who drove us around Sri Lanka for two weeks. He was careful, punctual, always good conversation and always kept the car in lovely condition. He was very helpful in looking over our plans, helping us find particular experiences we wanted, and getting us little extras like amazing fresh fruit from roadside stalls. He was also very knowledgeable on the plants and animals of Sri Lanka, and always a source of interesting conversation on the long drives from town to town.Thanks to Siddiq we got exactly what we wanted from our holiday. He was an excellent, good conversation and we would happily recommend him to anyone.

Great trip – safe and excellent driver We had a lovely trip - from Negombo to Sigiriya - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Tissamahara and drop of in Hiriketiya with Anjana. Everything was very good, from planning the trip until finishing it. Anjana was a very safe and reliable driver, who took us wherever we wanted to go, and he also offered recommendations. Some we really appreciated. He was involved just the right amount, since we also like doing things on our own. We can recommend Anjana to anyone who is looking for a polite, sweet, and safe driver.

An unforgettable trip as a family! The whole experience from start to finish was excellent and I would highly recommend! When starting to plan my trip to Sri Lanka with my parents, I reached out to a number of “private driver” companies and Sri Lanka Private Driver stood out on reviews as being the best rated. The booking was easy- they were easily contactable and responded efficiently. We received a WhatsApp the day before arriving with our drivers name and we had Sujeewa as our driver for the duration of our stay. He met us with a kind and friendly smile at the airport, and it was the perfect start to a perfect trip. Sujeewa made us all feel super comfortable, he was an excellent driver making us feel safe and he was very knowledgeable about everything related to Sri Lanka! We had some long journeys and Sujeewa was always accommodating to our needs. By the end of the trip, (around 2 and half weeks) we really felt like Sujeewa had become part of the family, and if we return, we would not hesitate to travel with him again. Great driver experience We traveled through Sri Lanka for 13 days and decided to hire a private driver to make transfers easier. Saji was not only a great driver, but he also helped us a lot with booking tours and finding beautiful places to visit. He was a wonderful companion during our journey — flexible and always on time, full of great recommendations, and he made our long-distance transfers enjoyable with interesting conversations and fantastic playlists.We shared many special experiences that will stay in our hearts forever.Definitely recommended, and we hope to see him again someday.

Safe, Comfortable and Insightful Journey with Mafas I have traveled to dozens of countries and driven all kinds of vehicles there – from motorcycles to powerful speedboats 🙂 So my first thought when planning a trip to Sri Lanka was, of course, to rent a car. However, many friends and online travel communities strongly recommended using a car with a private driver instead.I have quite a lot of experience driving in chaotic traffic and in countries where driving is on the opposite side of the road, so this alone does not stress me. Still, after carefully weighing all the pros and cons, I decided to choose the option of a car with a driver. We were traveling as two couples, so I was looking for a small minibus.After reading many reviews, consulting friends who live in Sri Lanka, and contacting around 10 different companies offering this service, I chose “Sri Lanka Private Driver” — and I truly feel that I made the right decision.The company provided a very comfortable minibus and a professional driver-guide, Mafas, who has excellent knowledge of his country. We spent 6 days traveling with him and were extremely happy and satisfied. We didn’t need to worry about where to buy tickets for attractions or events, what to see along the way, or how to plan our route — Mafas answered all our questions and shared a lot of interesting information about everything we asked.This is something I definitely would not have experienced if I had driven myself. Driving conditions in Sri Lanka are truly unconventional, and self-driving would certainly involve a lot of stress. Mafas drove very calmly and professionally, never taking unnecessary risks, and made us feel completely safe in a country where traffic can be quite unusual for a typical European.We were also warned many times that drivers often push tourists to visit various tourist traps, but we absolutely did not experience this while traveling with Mafas.Once again, thank you Mafas and Sri Lanka Private Driver.
